It looks so lovely as is, and since many of your plates are vintage, it only adds to the feel, no? Arranging by color definitely helps make it looks more streamlined though. I dig it… use it! Can you use this tray flat on the table and re-vamp the ramps instead somehow to use both? PS. Did I mention I'm also obsessed with letterpress trays - I own two and I love them! ;-) I vote no paint!! It's great that it angles up and doesnt take too much shape up on the table. Maybe both though?? If you painted this new drawer black? It would make the white in the plates show up nicely.
