Congrats to Baltimore’s own Rachael Bone of Red Prairie Press for having a recent interview picked up by a few papers in the U.S. and Canada!
It is so exciting to see how the handmade movement is really being embraced by so many people outside of indie craft circles. This mainstream exposure of alternitive craft is so helpful in teaching restless consumers that they have an alternitive to “big box stores” for the holidays. More and more people are coming out to craft shows (and to Etsy!) to meet the artists and learn the stories behind their purchases. As Rachael point’s out, ”My generation has really started caring about where our products are made.” Thank goodness for that!
