Can you tell I am having fun with my circles? I am. Everyday J comes home and I bombard him with all of the new ways that I want to assemble them. He kind of looks at me like I am nuts, but I might just be.
My new favorites are this necklace and this bracelet. I really like combining a few different patterns in one piece. I will be adding them to my Etsy shop and taking what does not sell to ACC with me in February.

Thank you so much for an awesome year of breaking your plates! I have had a smashing time! (Sorry, had to say it.) This has been, by far, my best year yet, and I have all of you to thank for it.
I am so excited to dive head first into my projects for 2010 (including these Fiesta ware pendants in the photo.) I have lots of great ideas that I can not wait to share with you all.
Have a safe and happy holiday and New Year, and don’t forget to save all …

Sorry for being M.I.A. but I have been feverishly working on a top secret project. In the mean time, I have been doing a lot of experimentation with the possibilities of recycled plate crafts. Some of my new favorites are these new rings and cuff links made out of crushed plate in resin. It is a not-so-literal version of a broken plate ring that is sure to be a conversation piece. They are now available in my Etsy Shop!

I have created a new section in my Etsy shop where you can browse all of my Etsy collaborations for charity. These are quickly turning into my some of my favorite pieces! I recently added the goodies to the left, made from broken plates sent to me by Just Mare. I instantly fell in love with this ceramic artist from Arizona after seeing (and buying) her Chickadee mug on the front page of Etsy. $5 from each sale will benefit The Humane Society of Central AZ.
I am slowly building up stock for the upcoming craft show season. My first …

I am proud to introduce a new set of pendants made from a broken vase by San Francisco based artist, Diana Fayt. Diana sent these shards to me to work with, in an effort to help raise awaresness and money for P2P Rescue, a U.S.-based, not-for-profit organization working to raise awareness about and deliver support to Sri Lanka.
The pendants are now available in my Etsy shop, with $10 from each sale being donated to help P2P Rescue!

I just updated my shop for, what will most likely be, the last time before Artscape. I need to focus on beefing up my craft show stock for the next 15 (!) days. There are a few new sets of earrings and a bunch of my new stretched broken plate pendants. As always, if you see something in my flickr gallery that you would like posted in my Etsy shop for you, just let me know!

Hello World! I Just wanted to check in for a moment and let you know what I have been up to. My next show is not until Artscape next month, so I am spending time filling wholesale orders, finishing up some wedding sets and trying to get a bit more creative with my jewelry. The piece to the left will be in a show in November at Baltimore Clayworks along with 12 other pieces. I am having fun experimenting a bit and getting out of my little pendant making box. I …

I often say that my pendants are only as nice as the plate that they originally came from. Nothing illustrates this more then this set made from a broken platter by Little Flower Designs. It would be impossible to make something ugly from this plate! =)
At a recent craft show, an unforutate gust of wind came and blew this lovely floral platter to the ground, breaking it into pieces. I felt bad for poor Linda, but was a bit excited to get my hands on the shards!

I was lucky enough to meet Liz and Jeff of Cosa Verde at The Summit of Awesome a few weeks ago. They are a crafting/programming couple who have combined their talents to create this amazing website that makes it easy to navigate the sea green craft. In their words “We wanted to make it easy to find great green goods for your neo-hippie niece, your grandpa who doesn’t believe in global-warming, and everyone in-between.” I love the laid back, non-preachy vibe of the site that gives you the feeling that …

One of my favorite parts of my job (you can call it that!) is being able to collaborate with some of the many talented ceramic artists of Etsy! This time around, I had the great pleasure of working with some pieces from Baltimore’s own, Pink Kiss Pottery. I have been in love with her work since I met her at a craft show many moons ago, so it was extra fun for me to make these. If you have not checked out her shop in a while, you are in …

The new issue of Maryland Life is out and features a little story about my plate breaking craziness! I did the interview back in November, and had no idea it was out until I started getting emails about my red hair. I don’t think it looks THAT red. Anyway, have scanned the article to my Flickr account, but you should go out and buy it anyway because Maryland Life is so great about highlighting local artists (plus there is a cute chicken on the cover!) Thanks Maryland Life!

I am fairly certain that I am the only person who would think that I am the luckiest person in the world for having a shamrock plate break a week before St. Patrick’s day! It happened, and I am! Now you can enjoy your own lucky shamrock plate pendant from my Etsy shop. Tya is doubly lucky because it is her birthday on St. Patrick’s Day so she automatically gets one!
Lots of Irish fun is to be had this weekend, including the Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade and a special performance by …
